Job description

As a Mid-Level or Senior Software Engineer, you will be overseeing the maintenance and modernization of existing data warehouse systems as well as development of new applications. As team members regularly switch between different development teams, it's important to be comfortable with working on both modern and legacy tech stacks.

Development is done in 3-week sprints using Agile methodology. Leadership skills, self-motivation, critical thinking and introducing new ideas and solutions is welcome and encouraged. This is a semi-remote position with 2 home office days per week.

Tech stacks

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other software engineers, product managers, designers and quality assurance in a cross-functional environment.
• Modernize legacy system aligned with business owner improvements.
• Integrate modern and legacy systems.
• Plan and execute code refactoring.
• Innovate and improve on existing solutions and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, bugs and other system defects.
• Get familiar with GS1 standards and the GDSN network.

Job description

A successful candidate will be able to perform all testing related tasks required in the feature development and maintenance of live products. They will work on multiple projects and products, also working to improve the company's best practices from a testing standpoint.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and execute test cases based on functional requirements.
• Estimate testing times based on feature requirements.
• Evaluate testing process, make recommendations as necessary.
• Timely execution of test cases.
• Identify, and record bugs, report and share root cause analysis results.
• Monitor UAT and PROD environments.
• Perform 2nd level client support in written English through a ticketing system, include developers in the investigation if needed.
• Replicate issues based on logs and user feedback and communicate resolution to the stakeholders.
• Report statuses of assigned tasks to management.
• Get familiar with GS1 standards and the GDSN network.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or QA bootcamp certificate
• 2+ years of relevant testing experience
• Ability to understand complex domains
• Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills in Hungarian
